Jyothsna Sainath

Jyothsna started learning Bharatanatyam in Bengaluru, India, at a young age and has been a student of renowned Gurus, namely the late Guru Padmini Ramachandran, Guru Radha Sridhar and the late Guru Narmada. It was under the loving tutelage of Guru Narmada, a student of Guru Tanjavoor Kittappa Pillai that Jyothsna evolved as a performer. She has also learned the Karanas from late Guru Sundari Santhanam, a senior student of the scholar Guru Dr. Padma Subramaniam. Jyothsna’s performance and choreography are informed by these various influences.

Sarayu Ramanan

Sarayu Ramanan is a Bharatanatyam dancer and Co-Treasurer of the Nitya Nritya Foundation. She began her training at a young age under her grandmother, Mrs. Sarasi Raj, and aunt, Mrs. Kalpalatha Thiagarajan, and later completed her arangetram under Guru Padma Rajagopal.

She has continued her practice across cities, studying with Guru Malathi Iyengar and currently training at Nitya Nritya Dance Company. Deeply committed to the art form, she remains active in performance and community initiatives supporting Indian classical dance.

Aiswarya Josyula

Aiswarya Josyula is a Bharatanatyam dancer and a dedicated student of Indian classical arts, serving as Co-Treasurer of the Nitya Nritya Foundation. She received her training under Guru B. K. Shyam Prakash and continues her practice with Dr. Jyothsna Sainath.

Her artistic roots are shaped by a rich lineage, including her aunt Sabitha Bhamidipati, a disciple of the legendary Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam. She also has a foundation in Carnatic music and Veena, enriching her expression in dance.

Sradha Ramesh Bhatt

Sradha is a graduate student in Mathematics at the University of Utah. She started learning Bharatanatyam under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Asha G at the age of five in Kochi, India. Sradha was also introduced to the enchanting world of Mohiniyatam, and Kuchipudi under her guidance. A significant milestone in her journey was her Arangetram, held in the sacred precincts of Guruvayur Temple. Sradha has also trained in Indian Classical music under the mentorship of Guru Smt. Radhika and Violin under the guidance of Guru Sri V. Sunil.

⁠Varshinee Devanand

Varshinee is a Research Associate working on male infertility at a start up in Salt Lake City. She started Bharatanatyam when she was eight years old and has been practicing dance for fifteen years now. She started learning under Set. Mridula Rai from Coimbatore and has been an apart of a number of performances under her guidance. She completed her Arangetram at the age of 16 and has continued practice since then. She joined Nitya Nritya Dance Company recently and has been able to start and improve her art with Dr Jyothsna Sainath.

⁠Rashmi Hungund

Rashmi, a software engineer by profession, comes from a family of Hindustani classical musicians and art connoisseurs. From childhood, she has been passionate about classical dance, practicing in informal settings while growing up in Bangalore, India. She began formal training after moving to Salt Lake City, and continues to learn Bharatanatyam under Dr. Jyothsna Sainath. She has also participated in group performances under her guidance.

⁠Parimala Maremanda

M Lakshmi Parimala is a Kuchipudi dance artist from Hyderabad, who started her training under Guru Sri Sanjeeva Babu at a young age and she is currently studying Kuchipudi under Guru Dr. Padmavani Mosalikanti and Bharatanatyam under Jyothsna Sainath.
She has been practicing Kuchipudi for the past 20 years and has performed at a number of venues in India. Parimala has a Diploma in performing arts (Kuchipudi) from REVA University-Bangalore and a Master’s in performing arts from Potti Sriramulu University-Hyderabad.
