SAMATHMIKA BALAJI
Samathmika Balaji is a carnatic music vocalist, performer and teacher. She has been learning and performing carnatic music from the age of 5, and most extensively from Guru Dr. Usha Prasad.

She has performed at several prestigious festivals and presented concerts in India and the UK, and received the “Kalai Ila Mani” from the Government of Tamil Nadu for her musical achievements at the age of 15. This led to an enduring passion for the classical performing arts and she has continued to keep this lifelong interest alive when she moved to the US in 2016, through her musical venture, Samudra Carnatic Collective and through her affiliation with the Nitya Nritya Foundation, an arts and culture non-profit based in Salt Lake City.
