Debanjan Bhattacharjee is a disciple of the great maestro Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri of Lukhnow Gharana (style). Debanjan started learning Tabla in Kolkata, India, at a very young age with the support and encouragement of his parents. His initial training in Tabla was nurtured by his grandfather Late Sri Damarupani Bhattacharya and uncle Sri Sudipto Bhattacharya. Later on he studied with Sri Ratan Ghatak who is a senior disciple of Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri. As a young artist Debanjan has performed in small concerts as a soloist apart from being an accompanist with vocal and instrumental music. Debanjan continues to pursue his love for Tabla under the tutelage and blessings of his illustrious Guru Sri Swapan Chaudhuri.
